Daily Traveler's Notebook Spread | Felicity Jane

Hi friends!

I'm popping in today to share a traveler's notebook spread that I created using the stunning 'Kate' kit from Felicity Jane Studio!

I'm using this TN insert to document all of the little everyday things that make me happy. My morning coffee is one of those things! Usually I have my coffee at home, but this particular day I got a takeaway coffee after I dropped my older two kids at school, and went to a local reserve to enjoy it. It was so nice!

I covered the left hand side of the spread with the dot patterned paper. I love this paper! I then cut the sketchy heart out of one of the 3x4 journal cards, and adhered it to the page using some foam tape. I also added the little banner die cut that says 'today' on top of the heart.

I matted my photo using one of the solid color papers from the kit, and I also tucked one of the tags underneath the right hand side of the photo. The die cut word 'daily' made the perfect title for this spead!

I added my journaling underneath the photo, and then I finished the page off with a few of the wood veneer stars and one of the little word stickers.

Thanks so much for joining me today and taking a look at my TN spread! If you'd like to check out the 'kate' collection, click on the links below. You can purchase the kit as a whole or most of the items in the kit are available to purchase separately.

Loved | Stuck?! Sketches July 15th challenge

Hi friends!

There's a new challenge running over at Stuck?! Sketches! Here's the lovely July 15th sketch designed by Laura Whitaker...

No automatic alt text available.

And here's my take on the sketch...

I documented a photo of my new little niece Eliza! She is so precious, and we are all love her so much! This photo is of her at one week old!

I used the beautiful Felicity Jane 'Sophie' kit that was released earlier this year. I LOVE the colours and the florals in this kit, and it was just perfect for scrapbooking this photo!

I always love fussy cutting florals, and these ones look so lovely tucked under the side of the photo. I added some foam tape underneath some parts to create varying heights and to give them some dimension. On the top right hand corner of the photo I added a cute little Charms Creations tab with a Felicity Jane rubber heart on top. I also tucked a tab in under the right hand side of the photo, which I stamped the date onto.

I used a sticker from the kit as the title for my layout, which I adhered using foam tape. I added some more fussy cut florals to the right of the title, and then I added my typed journaling underneath.

I finished the layout off with a few little puffy dots.

If you haven't done so already, I hope that you'll head on over to the Stuck?! Sketches blog and take a look at the fabulous layouts created by my fellow design team members! We'd love you to play along with us by creating a layout based on this sketch! Link up your layouts on the Stuck?! Summer | Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi friends!

This week on the Cocoa Vanilla blog the design team are sharing some gorgeous 'summer' themed projects with you! Here's my layout featuring the beautiful 'Endless Summer' collection!

I documented a super cute photo of my youngest daughter and my nephew, taken last summer when they were enjoying an ice cream together. These two are so adorable, and they love each other so much! Of course I take every opportunity I can to snap photos of them together!

I used one of the FREE summer cut files that are available to download from the Cocoa Vanilla store!

How awesome are these?! I decided to use the word 'summer', and I resized it to create a large title for my layout. I cut it out of my white cardstock background using my Cameo, and then I backed it with the sunbleached patterned paper. I love the wow factor that a large title like this makes on a layout!

I matted my photo with the reverse side of the sweet treats patterned paper, and then I popped some foam tape underneath the photo to give it some extra dimension. I love fussy cutting floral patterned papers, and the Aloha Sunshine paper is just perfect for this! I fussy cut two large floral clusters and tucked one under each side of the photo. I love how this looks with the flowers coming out from behind the photo! Up in the top right hand corner of the layout I added a couple of die cuts from the collection, as well as a cute little woodie button.

On the bottom left hand corner of the photo I added one of the cute puffy stickers from the collection, and I popped another woodie button there as well.

At the bottom of the page I added a banner sticker, which I adhered using foam tape to give it some extra dimension. I added a third woodie here as well, which creates a visual triangle with the other two. I love these cute little wooden buttons! I added my typed journaling underneath the title, and then I finished the layout off with a couple of little heart stickers, some enamel shapes, and lastly some gold ink splatters.

Thanks so much for joining me on my blog today!

I also have a process video for this layout on my YouTube channel, if you'd like to check out how it came together...

Melville Family | Stuck?! Sketches July 1st Challenge

Hi friends!

It's time for a new sketch challenge over at Stuck?! Sketches! Here's the July 1st sketch designed by the talented Laura Whitaker...

No automatic alt text available.

And here's my take on the sketch...

I documented a photo of our extended family on my husband's side, taken about six months ago. Unfortunately we are not often all together like this as my sister-in-law and her family live in another state, so it was so nice to get together with the whole family when they were here visiting. And I'm glad that we were able to get a photo of us all together!

I dug into my Felicity Jane stash to create this layout, and used the beautiful 'Emeline' kit.

I started my layout off by creating my title using my cameo. First I cut our family name 'Melville' out of the white cardstock background, and then backed it with that gorgeous woodgrain paper from the kit. I then cut out the word 'family' using a Felicity Jane cut file from the Silhouette Design Store. I added some foam tape underneath this word to lift it up and give it some extra dimension.

I decided to use one landscape photo rather than the two smaller photos on the sketch, and I tucked some fussy cut florals underneath both sides of the photo.

I decided to add a little cluster up in the top right hand corner of the page. In this cluster I included a beautiful wood veneer tab, as well as a cute little floral puffy sticker, which I tucked under the edge of the tab.

I finished the layout off with a couple of little wood veneer hearts and some little puffy dots.

Beautiful | Cocoa Vanilla

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing a layout that I created using the STUNNING 'Wild at Heart' collection! I'm still crushing on the beautiful florals in this collection, and so I wanted to create a layout featuring these!

I documented a photo of my eldest daughter Abigail & I. We recently enjoyed a fun girls weekend away together, and of course we took lots of selfies to remember our little getaway! On the first morning we went for a walk down to the beach to enjoy the sunshine, and this was when we took this photo. Of course I wanted to scrap it straight away!

I used the reverse side of the lovely Artisan patterned paper as the background for my layout. I also added a strip of the Double Dot paper down the middle of the layout, with a thin strip of the reverse side of the Patchwork patterned paper tucked under both sides to give it some definition from the background.

I matted my photo with the reverse side of the Luscious paper, and then layered two of the beautiful chipboard frames from the collection underneath the photo. I love the dimension that this creates! I couldn't go past the 'beautiful' chipboard sticker as the title for my layout, and it fit perfectly sitting just above the photo! You can also see here that I added a little tab sticker on the top left hand corner of the photo.

I had so much fun fussy cutting those gorgeous florals on the beautiful Luscious patterned paper! I might be strange I know, but I actually find it quite therapeutic! And I absolutely love the end result, so I think it's worth the effort! I arranged them under the bottom edge of the photo to create a base of sorts for the photo to sit on. I like how they also frame the bottom half of the photo nicely. I made sure that I only added glue to the centre of the flowers as I wanted the leaves to lift off the page which gives the floral clusters dimension and movement.

There was some negative space on the left hand side of my photo, so I stuck a chipboard butterfly there, and then added the little 'happy' die cut just above that. I also cut the word 'together' out of the Fussy Cuts patterned paper, and tucked it under the bottom edge of the photo.

I finished the layout off with a couple of die cut butterflies and some pretty enamel dots.

Thanks so much for joining me on my blog today!
