Mr & Mrs | Stuck?! Sketches August 15th Challenge

Hi friends!

I'm popping in to share the latest sketch challenge at Stuck?! Sketches! Here's the lovely sketch designed by Laura Whitaker for the August 15th challenge...

No automatic alt text available.

And here's my take on the sketch...

My hubbie and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary next week, and so I decided to use this sketch to scrapbook one of our wedding photos.

My layout features the Echo Park 'Wedding Bliss' collection, as well as cut files from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I created a cluster to the right of the photo that includes a couple of die cuts from the collection as well as a Charms Creations heart.

On the top left hand corner of the photo I added a Charms Creations tab with a wood veneer heart on top. I love the texture that the Charms Creations embellishments add to the page!

I finished the layout off by creating another cluster up in the top left hand corner of the layout using more die cuts from the Wedding Bliss collection.

If you haven't done so already, I hope that you'll head on over to the Stuck?! Sketches blog and take a look at the fabulous layouts created by my fellow design team members! We'd love you to play along with us by creating a layout based on this sketch! Link up your layouts on the Stuck?! Sketches blog by August 29th to be in the running to win a prize from one of our very generous sponsors:

Love | Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi everyone!

Today I have a fun layout to share with you that I created for Cocoa Vanilla Studio using the totally gorgeous Wild at Heart collection! I just love the beautiful colours in this collection, and it's so perfect for scrapbooking photos of my girls!

This week on the Cocoa Vanilla blog, we are all sharing layouts that feature multiple photos! Here's the page that I created:

How super cute are these photos of my two girls! My eldest daughter Abigail recently downloaded an app that puts filters on your photos similar to the ones on snapchat, and she had fun taking some photos with her younger sister, Eleanor. I absolutely love the photos, and of course I had to scrapbook them!

I used the beautiful Artisan patterned paper for my background. I've already used this same paper as a background once before, but I just keep coming back to it because I love it so much! I think it made a fun background for these photos! I also added a strip of the Patchwork (reverse side) patterned paper on the left hand side of the page. I stuck it down slightly crooked which added to the fun and carefree feel of the layout.

I fussy cut the word 'love' out of the Fussy Cuts patterned paper, and I used this as the title for my layout. I added some foam tape underneath the word which gave it some extra height and dimension.

I created a cluster to the left of the photo that includes a chipboard frame, a couple of die cuts from the ephemera pack, as well as a wood veneer star from the You ROCK collection. To add some extra interest and dimension to the cluster, I layered everything at different heights.

I matted the photo on the right with the Grow Wild (reverse side) patterned paper and then tucked a tab from the accessory sticker sheet underneath the right hand side of the photo. I also added another 'You ROCK' wood veneer star to the right of the photos. I think these stars really added a fun element to the page!

To finish the layout off I added a couple more die cut stars and another wood veneer star to the layout, as well as some little phrase stickers from the accessory sticker sheet, and a few sparkly enamel dots.

Thanks so much for joining me here on the blog today! I hope that you've been inspired! Pop on over to the Cocoa Vanilla blog this week for lots more multi-photo layout inspiration from the design team!

Don't Stop Believing | Stuck?! Sketches August 1st Challenge

Hi friends!

It's time for a new challenge over at Stuck?! Sketches! Here's the August 1st sketch designed by the talented Laura Whitaker...

No automatic alt text available.

I really enjoyed creating with this sketch! I decided to use one horizontal photo rather than the two smaller photos on the sketch. Here's my layout...

I documented a photo of our family that was taken on Christmas Day last year. I love it when we manage to get a photo of the five of us together!

I used the gorgeous Fancy Pants 'Dream Big' collection to create this page. The colours in the collection complemented this photo perfectly!

I created a cluster on the bottom left hand corner of the photo that includes a floral die cut from the collection as well as a Kinder Kreations flair button. I also tucked a kraft tag underneath the left hand side of the photo.

I tucked a couple more die cuts under the top right hand corner of the photo.

I decided to move the title and strips of paper at the bottom of the page over to the left hand side. I included a beautiful Charms Creations White, Denim & Stripe Heart in this bottom cluster, and then I added a die cut on top, which I decided to use as the title for the page. Charms Creations is one of the sponsors for this challenge, so make sure you play along for your chance to win a $20 gift certificate!

I finished the layout off with a few little puffy stickers, some enamel dots, and gold ink splatters.

If you haven't done so already, I hope that you'll head on over to the Stuck?! Sketches blog and take a look at the fabulous layouts created by my fellow design team members! We'd love you to play along with us by creating a layout based on this sketch! Link up your layouts on the Stuck?! You Rock | Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi friends!

Today I'm sharing a layout that I created using the fabulous 'You ROCK' collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio! I can't get enough of the awesome colours in this collection, and I really can't go past 'You ROCK' for documenting photos of my son, Isaac!

Here's the page that I created...

My layout features a photo of Isaac with our kitten Sasha. We've had her for about 7 months now, and I love seeing how much Isaac cares for her! They are so sweet together!

I used the Experimental patterned paper as the background for my layout. I LOVE the artsy / mixed media look that this gives to the page, without having to do any of the work! Lucky I have more than one sheet of this patterned paper, because I also matted my photo with the reverse side of this paper!

I decided to use pieces from the Random cut apart sheet as the main design element on this page. I cut them up and then laid them across the page to create a mat for my photo to sit on. I made sure that they were all a little crooked and not lined up, to give them more of a random look. I also curled up the corners of the cards a little to give them some extra dimension, rather than them just sitting flat on the page.

How awesome are the Cocoa Vanilla rubber charms?! I used the rubber tag on this page, which I tucked under the left hand side of the photo. I also tied a little bit of cotton twine to the tag to finish it off. On top of the tag I added a star which I fussy cut from the Starshine patterned paper.

I can't go past the wood veneer shapes in this collection, and I love that 'You Rock' piece! It made the perfect title for this page! I added some small pieces of foam tape underneath to lift it up and give it some extra dimension, and I love how this makes it really pop off the page!

To the right of the title I added a label sticker, which I stamped the date onto, as well as an arrow chipboard sticker. I added my journaling underneath the title, and then added a few more embellishments in the bottom right hand corner of the page. This little cluster includes another chipboard sticker, as well as another fussy cut star from the Starshine patterned paper.

I finished the layout off with some more stars... a few of the wood veneer ones, more fussy cut ones, as well as a little chipboard one. This adds interest to the layout by using different colours and textures, as well as cohesiveness, by repeating the same shape throughout the layout.

Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today! I'll be back later in the month with another project to share with you! See you then!
