Bloom Traveler's Notebook Spread | The Cut Shoppe

Hi friends!

Today I'm sharing a traveler's notebook spread that I created using the new Fresh Air Printable Collection from The Cut Shoppe. This collection is perfect for using in your traveler's notebooks! Here's the page that I created...

I documented a photo of my youngest daughter and I enjoying a picnic together on a beautiful sunny day! I'm loving filling up this notebook with fun little things that we do together during the week!

I covered the left hand side of the spread with one of the pretty patterned papers from the collection, and then layered some more of the papers behind my photo. I cut out the words 'Find your thing & do it' from one of the cards in the collection and adhered them underneath my photo.

I added a little banner from the collection up in the top right hand corner of the page, and then added my title using some puffy stickers from the Maggie Holmes Bloom collection. I wrote my journaling underneath my title.

At the bottom of the page I added a couple more pieces from the Fresh Air collection, including the strip that has the days of the week on it and the little tab that I stamped my date onto. I also added a flower from the Crate Paper Cute Girl collection and a strip of glitter washi tape from my stash.

I really love the beautiful colours in this collection, and can't wait to use it on another page! If you love it too, you can purchase the entire collection, which includes 55 pieces, from The Cut Shoppe Etsy store for just $5!

Thanks so much for joining me on my blog today!

Nine Today | Stuck?! Sketches March 15th Challenge

Hi friends!

It's time for a new challenge over at Stuck?! Sketches, and Laura has designed a fun multi-photo sketch to inspire us!

No automatic alt text available.

I flipped the sketch horizontally to suit my photos. Here's my layout...

I documented some fun photos that I took of my son when he was opening up his birthday presents last year. I love seeing the surprise and joy on his face! This was the perfect sketch to be able to get these photos scrapped!

I used some older patterned papers from the Heidi Swapp September Skies collection. I love the colours!

Here are some closeups of my page...

I always love embellishing my pages with Charms Creations! The Teal, Spotty and Denim embellishments are so bright and fun and were perfect for this birthday themed layout! I layered a Cocoa Vanilla wood veneer word on top to add some extra interest and dimension! Charms Creations are kindly sponsoring this challenge, so make sure you go and take a look at their gorgeous handmade embellishments, and play along for a chance to win a Charms Creations gift voucher!

For my title, I used a combination of Shimelle chipboard Thickers and an Amy Tangerine foam word sticker. I love that these provide a bold title that really stands out on the page!

To the right of the photos, I added another Charms Creations embellishment, and I popped a wooden button on top, which is from the Shimelle Little by Little collection.

I finished the layout off by adding some little wood veneer and black foam stars to the page. I also added some typed journaling, which I cut into strips.

If you haven't done so already, I hope that you'll head on over to the Stuck?! Sketches blog and take a look at the fabulous layouts created by my fellow design team members! We'd love you to play along with us by creating a layout based on this sketch! Link up your layouts on the Stuck?! Sketches blog by March 29th to be in the running to win a prize from one of our very generous sponsors:

Hello Cuties | Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing a new layout for Cocoa Vanilla Studio using the fabulous Wild at Heart collection! I'm seriously loving everything about this collection, especially the gorgeous colours! This is the third layout that I've created using Wild at Heart, and I thought that this time I'd like to focus on the beautiful blues and aquas in the collection.

Here's my layout...

I documented a photo of my youngest two kids taken on Christmas Day last year. I love how it really captures the affection that they have for one another.

How gorgeous is the watercolour side of the Mariposa patterned paper... I adore this! And the blues and aquas on this paper perfectly matched the colours of my kids clothes in the photo! Win!

I matted my photo on the Momento patterned paper and also layered a chipboard frame behind the photo. I love the dimension that this adds! To the right of the photo I created a little cluster that includes one of the beautiful flair buttons, a bitty bloom, and a heart from the wood veneer pack. Up in the top right hand corner of the layout I added one of the cute little rubber charms.

I created another cluster on the bottom left hand corner of the photo that includes a ticket and a flower from the die cut ephemera pack, as well as another wood veneer heart. I really love all the bits and pieces that come in the ephemera pack - they are perfect for layering and creating pretty embellishment clusters!

I added my title to the bottom left hand corner of the layout using the word 'hello' from the chipboard sheet, as well as Alphabet Stickers from the Totally Rad collection. I also added another die cut flower and a bitty bloom to the title area as well.

I finished the layout off by adding a few enamel dots and some typed journaling cut into strips.

Thanks so much for joining me on my blog today!

Beautiful Mare | The Cut Shoppe and Bella Blvd Blog Hop

Hi everyone!

Our Design Team at The Cut Shoppe are super excited to be teaming up with the talented girls on the Bella Blvd Design Team today to bring you a fun blog hop!

Hopefully you've found your way here from Gail Lindner's blog! Here's the full blog hop list, in case you get lost along the way...

I was excited to receive some beautiful patterned papers and embellishments from the super cute Bella Blvd 'Secrets of the Sea' collection to play with! I teamed them up with 'The Half of It' background cut file from The Cut Shoppe to create this layout...

My layout features a photo of my eldest daughter, taken when we visited the beautiful island of Mare on our cruise last year. She was so excited to get her hair braided by one of the local women, and I think she looked so pretty!

The 'Secrets of the Sea' collection was just perfect for documenting this photo! I wanted to feature some of the beautiful patterned papers in the collection and 'The Half of It' background cut file allowed me to do just that! Here's a look at the cut file...

The Half of It background cut file is available in 12x12 and 8.5x11 sizes for your scrapbooking and papercrafting projects.

I decided to turn it upside down because it reminded me of waves. I used five of the patterned papers from the 'Secrets of the Sea' collection to back the cut file. I love all of the gorgeous colours showing through and how they create a rainbow effect.

Here are some closeups of my layout...

I thought that these bright and colourful flowers would complement the embellishments in this collection, and I love how they add to the 'island' theme of the page. I created my title using a combination of Amy Tangerine and Shimelle foam Thickers.

As well as the patterned papers, I also got to play with a couple of the embellishments packs from this collection, including the designer clips. These are so adorable! I love how this one adds the perfect finishing touch to my photo.

I love all of the mermaid images throughout this collection! I fussy cut this one from the Daily Details patterned paper, and I think she's so cute! I also received a packet of the cute Epoxy Stickers to use on my page. I just couldn't go past this one, because I really love this quote... "If you want to know how much I love you, count all the waves in the sea". It was so fitting for this page!

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look at my layout! Next stop on the blog hop is Wendy Antenucci! Make sure you leave comments along the way for a chance to win a prize from The Cut Shoppe and Bella Blvd! The Cut Shoppe is giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to one lucky winner and Bella Blvd have this awesome prize pack to give away...

Also, from March 10th till March 13th, The Cut Shoppe are offering a discount of 30% off their cut files (use the code BLOGHOP30 at checkout)!

I hope that you are inspired by all of the beautiful projects as you continue along on the blog hop!

Happy | Stuck?! Sketches March 1st Challenge

Hi there!

I'm back to share another layout with you today! This one is for the March 1st challenge at Stuck?! Sketches! If you like using grid designs on your layouts, then you're going to love this awesome sketch that Laura has designed for this challenge...

No automatic alt text available.

Here's my take on the sketch...

I documented a couple of super cute photos of my youngest daughter and my nephew. These two are such great friends, and they're always giving each other lots of cuddles and kisses. So I always have my camera or phone ready to capture these sweet moments!

I used the American Crafts Shimelle 'Little by Little' collection on this page. The colours in the collection are lovely, and there are lots of cute embellishments, which made it perfect for these photos!

Here are some closeups...

I embellished the top left square with a gorgeous Charms Creations star with a Felicity Jane rubber charm layered on top. I also added one of the cute wooden buttons from the collection to this cluster.

I added a cute camera die-cut beside the photo in the top right hand corner, and I also tucked a circular tag under the corner of the photo.

The gold foiled stickers in the collection are really pretty!! I used the one that says 'happy' as the title for my layout. I added some foam tape underneath to raise it up and give it some dimension.

I finished the layout off by adding some little star stickers and some gold ink splatters.

Traveler's Notebook Spread - Play-Doh | Felicity Jane Studio

Hi friends!

I'm back today to share a traveler's notebook spread that I created using the gorgeous 'London' kit from Felicity Jane Studio!

I created this page to document how much my daughter loves playing with Play-Doh. I'm loving using this traveler's notebook insert to document all of 'the little things' that make up our week!

How beautiful are the patterned papers in this kit?! I used the blue and green dot paper on the left hand side of the spread, and on the right hand side I used the black and white linen and the yellow grid patterned papers. I also adhered the scallop branding strip off one of the solid colour papers down the right hand side of the page. I love how pretty these colours all look together.

Here are some closeups of my spread...

I love that the 'London' sticker sheet has so many versatile pieces, such as this pretty yellow label. I stamped a phrase from the 'Sophie' stamp set onto it... It was the perfect sentiment for this page!

How pretty is this bow from the sticker sheet!! I added some foam tape underneath it to give it some extra dimension.

I'm in love with the 'London' chipboard alphas! They're really stunning, and I think I'm going to need to buy a second packet so that I don't run out!

I finished the right hand side of the spread off by adding a sticker with a rubber charm heart on top, and a little puffy heart (both of the hearts are from the 'Sophie' kit).

I hope that you enjoyed taking a look at my traveler's notebook spread! There are limited quantities of the 'London' kit left in stock, so if you love it, jump on over to the Felicity Jane shop to pick one up for yourself!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and thank you to those who take the time to leave a comment!

So Lovely | Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi everyone!

Today I'm up on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog sharing a layout that I created using the super pretty new Wild at Heart collection! Over the next couple of weeks, the design team will be sharing lots of beautiful projects showcasing the various items within the Wild at Heart collection! My page that I'm sharing today focuses on the patterned papers as well as the ephemera. These are two of my favourite things from the collection!

Here's my layout...

I documented a photo of my youngest daughter that I took a little over a year ago. I just can't get enough of her beautiful blue eyes, and her curls, and this photo captured both perfectly!

How absolutely stunning is the Artisan patterned paper that I used for my background!! I love how it adds the look of mixed media to the layout without having to do any of the work! And the colours are so pretty!!

Here are some closeups...

I started my layout off by creating lots of pretty layers behind my photo. I included a die cut frame and doily from the ephemera pack, as well as a chipboard frame, a 3x4 card that I cut out of the Patchwork patterned paper, and a label from the sticker sheet. I love the dimension, and all of the pretty colours peeking out from behind the photo. I also tucked a flower from the ephemera pack underneath the corner of the photo, as well as the die cut piece that says 'cherish these moments' under the right hand side.

Here you can see more of the layers behind my photo. I also added the 'memories' die cut piece on the bottom right hand corner of the photo, and adhered it using foam tape to give it some extra dimension.

The patterned papers in this collection have lots of images that can be fussy cut and used as embellishments on your pages. I think that I'll be doing lots of fussy cutting of these butterflies from the Mariposa patterned paper, because they are so beautiful! I added some foam tape underneath their wings to make it look like they are fluttering off the page! I cut the piece that says 'so lovely' out of the Fussy Cuts patterned paper, and used this as the title for my layout. I layered it with a small chipboard frame to complete the cluster.

I finished the layout off by adding some typed journaling cut into strips, and a few sparkly enamel dots.

Thanks so much for joining me on my blog today! I hope that you've enjoyed taking a closer look at some of the patterned papers and ephemera from the Wild at Heart collection!
