Christmas Album | Felicity Jane Studio

Hi scrappy friends!

Can you believe that 2016 is coming to a close and that very soon we will be welcoming in 2017?! This year has flown by! But there is so much to be thankful for from this past year, and I look forward to what 2017 will bring!

Today I'd like to share with you another page that I've created in my Christmas album using the Felicity Jane 'Oh, Deer' and 'Hello, Christmas!' kits. In case you missed seeing the first few pages in my album, I shared them over on the Felicity Jane blog, and you can see them here. I'm documenting all of our Christmas memories since 2004 when our first baby was born, and today I'm sharing my spread for 2006...

I love that this spread is all about the photos... These beautiful people are all so dear to me and I love looking back at these precious memories that we shared together. I used patterned papers from 'Hello, Christmas!' kit, and a few embellishments from the 'Oh, Deer' kit. I love that these two kits coordinate seemlessly! How gorgeous are the acetate pages in 'Hello, Christmas!' kit?! I love this one that says 'believe', and it was an easy way of adding more detail and interest to my spread without having to do any work!

Here's a closeup of the left hand side of the spread...

I had so much trouble narrowing down the photos that I wanted to include on this page, so in the end I decided to create 6x8 collage of my favourites. Because this side was quite photo heavy, it didn't need too much embellishing. I simply added the year on the left hand side of the bottom photo using Felicity Jane white Alphabet Stickers, and a sticker from the 'Oh, Deer' kit on the top right hand corner. I also added a strip of the washi tape from the 'Oh, Deer' kit down the right hand side of the page.

On the right hand side of the spread I included a photo each of Andrew & I with Abigail. She was 2.5 years old this Christmas, and it was so lovely seeing how much she really enjoyed the festivities this year. Love these special memories!

I used a card from the 'Hello, Christmas' kit in the top right hand pocket. I love the scallops, and the pretty colours, which coordinated perfectly with my photos! I typed my journaling onto vellum and then cut it up into strips to add to the card.

Okay, this is my favourite part of this page... a shaker pocket!! I filled the pocket with pretty sequins from the 'Oh, Deer' kit, and added a label which I stamped on using one of the 'Hello, Christmas' stamps. I love the movement and interest that the sequins add to the page... So much fun!!

Well that's it from me for today, and this year!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support over the past year, and wish you all a very happy and safe New Year!

Joy | The Cut Shoppe

Hi friends!

Today I'd like to share with you a layout that I created for The Cut Shoppe! There are so many gorgeous Christmas themed cut files available from The Cut Shoppe Etsy store! I decided to use the Tinsel Town cut file set to create a festive layout featuring my two beautiful girls...

I created a grid style layout as I thought that this would be a great way of showcasing some of the super cute cut files as well as the beautiful patterned papers from the Felicity Jane 'hello, Christmas!' kit!

I used three of the cut files from the Tinsel Town set on my layout:

The Tinsel Town cut file includes 8 Christmas themed images, that can be used for your scrapbooking and papercrafting projects.

Here are some closeups...

Using the Tinsel Town set, I cut the word 'Joy' from patterned paper and then added foam tape to the back to give it some dimension! I love how this makes it really pop off the page!

I matted the photo with black and white striped patterned paper and then tucked a tag under the right hand side.

I kept this section quite simple by just stamping a cute little phrase and adding a fussy cut Christmas decoration.

Next I used the Tinsel Town cut file set to cut these cute little Christmas Trees. I added foam tape behind one of them to create some varying dimension and depth. I popped a Felicity Jane flair button on top which has a cute little reindeer head on it to tie in with the reindeer ears that my daughters are wearing in the photo.

To finish the layout off, I added some stars that I cut from white cardstock using the Tinsel Town set and I also scattered some wood veneer stars.

Head on over to The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store to check out this cut file set as well as the other fabulous Christmas designs that are in store! Also don't forget to pop over to The Cut Shoppe blog to download the free cut files that are available there... There's a free cut file being added each week during the month of December.

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a very blessed Christmas and to thank you for your support during 2016!

You+Me | Stuck?! Sketches December 15th Challenge

Hi there!

It's time for a new challenge over at Stuck?! Sketches! If you're looking for a good sketch to inspire your creativity, then I know you'll love the December 15th sketch that Laura has designed for us...

No automatic alt text available.

Here's my take on the sketch...

I really love the design of this sketch, and it was perfect for scrapping this recent photo of my eldest daughter and I.

Here are some closeups of my layout...

Using wood veneer words is an easy way of adding titles to your layouts, particularly when you leave them raw. I really love this wood veneer phrase from D-lish Scraps!

I added a flower cluster on the bottom left hand corner of my photo using some lovely flowers from D-lish Scraps.

Here you can see some of the layers behind the photo, including patterned papers and a beautiful lace doily. I also added a Crate Paper sticker on the bottom right hand corner of the photo and tucked a tab under the side of the photo.

As on the sketch, I added another embellishment cluster in the bottom left hand corner of the layout. This one includes a Charms Creations chevron, as well as a flair button and a rose from D-lish Scraps.

If you haven't done so already, I hope that you'll head on over to the Stuck?! Sketches blog and take a look at the fabulous layouts created by my fellow design team members! Traveler's Notebook - You Float my Boat | The Cut Shoppe

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing a traveler's notebook spread that I created using cut files from The Cut Shoppe Etsy store!

We were super lucky to go on a 9 night cruise in November to New Caledonia (from Australia)... We had such a great time and I came home with lots of beautiful photos to scrap! I decided that the best way for me to document these photos is going to be in a traveler's notebook. I think that if I try to do a 12x12 album, that it'll take me forever, and I'll never get around to completing it. So this is the first page that I've completed in this notebook...

The Nautical Notions cut file set was absolutely perfect for documenting this photo, and I think I'll definitely be using it multiple times throughout my traveler's notebook!

The Nautical Notions cut file consists of four icons, that can be used on your scrapbooking and paper crafting projects.

Here are some closeups...

I love this phrase from the Nautical Notions cut file set, and I knew that I had to use it on a page of my husband and I together! I cut it out of patterned paper from the Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers collection and then added some foam tape underneath to give it some extra dimension.

I added some layers of patterned paper behind the photo and then popped an acrylic heart and a little word/phrase sticker to the bottom right hand corner of the photo.

I cut the anchor using another cut file from the Nautical Notions set and added foam tape behind this as well. I finished the spread off with some journaling and a few enamel dots.

Thanks so much for joining me on my blog today! Why don't you head on over to The Cut Shoppe etsy store to check out this cut file as well as the new Christmas themed ones that have recently been added!

Hello | Stuck?! Sketches December 1st Challenge

Hello!!

I'm back to share some more scrappy inspiration with you! Here is the Stuck?! Sketches December 1st challenge...

I love this sketch!! Here's my take on it...

I documented some super cool photos of my son that I took of him recently when he got a new pair of sunglasses! I always make the most of it when he is happy for me to take some photos, because it doesn't happen all that often! And I'm so glad that I got these ones because I think they capture his cool, chilled out personality!

I combined two Cocoa Vanilla collections on this layout... The 'Flying High' and 'Totally Rad' collections!

Here are some closeups so that you can see all of the details...

I love using wood veneer on my layouts! This wood veneer word 'hello' is from D-lish Scraps. I added some foam tape underneath to give it some extra dimension.

I added a Charms Creations Super Star to the right of the title and popped a D-lish Scraps flair on top, which coordinated perfectly with my photos!

I tucked a tag under the photo on the right hand side and also added a star sticker from the Flying High collection.

I finished the layout off with some wood veneer stars which I painted black.

If you haven't done so already, I hope that you'll head on over to the Stuck?! Sketches blog and take a look at the fabulous layouts created by my fellow design team members! We'd love you to play along with us by creating a layout based on this sketch! Link up your layouts on the Stuck?! Fabulous | Scrap the Girls December challenge

Hi there!

Can you believe that December is here already?!? I don't know where this year has gone!! It's time for some new scrappy challenges to keep you inspired throughout the silly season! This month at Scrap the Girls we have a super pretty mood board challenge...

I love the pretty shades of pink teamed up with gold... so stunning!!

Here's my layout inspired by the mood board...

I scrapped a photo of my eldest daughter from about 7 years ago! Gosh this girl is truly amazing and fabulous... I feel so blessed to be able to call her mine!

Here are some closeups of my layout...

The patterned paper that I used is from the Maggie Holmes 'Bloom' collection... I love the fringed look! I tucked a pretty doily underneath the photo to add some texture and interest, then added a puffy tab sticker from Felicity Jane on the left hand side of the photo.

This gold foil word from the Paige Evans 'Take me Away' collection was just perfect for this layout!

I created a cluster of pretty embellishments to the right of the photo that includes a couple of D-lish Scraps flowers and a Maggie Holmes crepe paper rosette. I also tucked some die-cut leaves into the cluster.

I finished the layout off with some journaling and a few heart stickers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Pop on over to the Scrap the Girls blog to be inspired by all the gorgeous layouts that my fellow design team members have created! We hope you can squeeze in some time to play along with us this month!
